Grant Overview
Since 1990, more than 200 grants have empowered projects aimed at improving river health, increasing public awareness and expanding recreational opportunities.
In amounts ranging from $1,000 to $20,000, these grants have helped create miles of pedestrian trails, survey contaminants in the river, re-establish native plant species, research the impact of chemical pollutants, stock trout, launch boating opportunities, organize workshops for municipalities, reduce pesticide use, educate the community on safe fish consumption, and much more.
Grants applications are available each fall, and the application deadline is in January. Grants are awarded each spring.
