to support the study of pollutants and other water quality parameters along the Quinnipiac River from Meriden (Hanover Pond) through New Haven.

to support assessing the status of oyster beds in the lower Quinnipiac River.

to support the study of metals from the Quinnipiac River in the livers and muscles of fish species targeted by fishermen.

to support the study of emerging contaminants resulting from the use of consumer health or cosmetic products or from veterinary medications.

to support the study of salt in catch basins and to design simple and inexpensive modifications that will allow salt to be flushed out while leaving sediments and their toxic burdens behind where they can be removed by routine maintenance.

to support the study of biofilm composition and growth on polypropylene microplastic versus natural stone in unimpaired and impaired sections of the Quinnipiac River.

to support the creation of public access on the lower Quinnipiac River, as well as to support advocating on state and local permits affecting water quality and quantity, and carry out bacteria monitoring.

To conduct pollution prevention assessments at six volunteer manufacturing companies to assist in identifying opportunities to reduce discharges and environmental impacts.

To support the proposal entitled, Quinnipiac River:  Point Source White Paper which would bring together information on all current discharges into the River, rank them by volume of toxic materials discharged, etc.

To provide a more accurate estimate of point and nonpoint source loading of organic and inorganic nitrogen to the Quinnipiac River.
