to support the study of urban storm water runoff and water samples from the Quinnipiac River along the Greater New Haven Area to characterize pollution from tire and road wear particles.

to support the study of biological impacts on fish physiology caused by microplastic pollution in the Quinnipiac River

to support the study of bioaccumulation of heavy metals in Asian clams (Corbicula fluminea) collected from segments of the Quinnipiac River influenced by municipal wastewater treatment plant effluent discharges.

to support advocating for state and local permits affecting water quality and quantity, including evaluating a proposed trash sorting facility in North Haven; bacteria monitoring using community partners and the Southwest Conservation District lab and cutting log jams in Quinnipiac River State Park.

to support water quality monitoring along the Quinnipiac River from Hanover Pond through North Haven, and removal of trash along the banks of the Quinnipiac River in North Haven.

To conduct pollution prevention assessments at six volunteer manufacturing companies to assist in identifying opportunities to reduce discharges and environmental impacts.

To support the proposal entitled, Quinnipiac River:  Point Source White Paper which would bring together information on all current discharges into the River, rank them by volume of toxic materials discharged, etc.

To provide a more accurate estimate of point and nonpoint source loading of organic and inorganic nitrogen to the Quinnipiac River.

To complete the development of a chemical tracer technique for identifying nonpoint sources of pollution.
