To analyze and report on a comparison of effluent monitoring data to permit requirements for industrial National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit holders in the Quinnipiac River Watershed.

To support the project entitled Comparison of Sediment Contaminants in the Branford River and the Quinnipiac River and their effects on the Benthic community.  This proposed research is an investigation of the sediment contaminant load of five sites in the Quinnipiac River and three sites within the Branford River.

Establish and maintain an internet web site for the Quinnipiac River Watershed Partnership.

To study the biological impoverishment of the Lower Quinnipiac River.

To purchase a 16.8 acre parcel along the Quinnipiac River to encourage the use of the property for recreational and educational purposes.

To plan an initial layout for an active inear trail along the Quinnipiac River corridor, initially through Wallingford from boarder to boarder, eventually connecting with other towns along the river.

To continue to develop the Stream Team volunteer water quality monitoring programs as a force for river conservation, and to further analyze data collected in both 1998-1999 grant years.

Continued support for the development of a geographic information system for the Quinnipiac River watershed.

To complete the development of a chemical tracer technique for identifying nonpoint sources of pollution.

To research and analyze the issue of river pollution by landfill leacheates in the Quinnipiac Watershedd, to plan Y begin implementation of "stream team" bio-assessment in two watershed sub-basins, & to improve office as a resource center.
