A GIS of the lower Quinnipiac River marsh was developed. It included data layers of building footprints, elevations and land cover; surface inventories; and assessments of flood zones and potential runoff effects on the marsh. The vegetation map illustrated that the reed Phragmites australis dominated the marsh.
