To start an "Adopt the River" program and to continue a lecture series.
The "Adopt the River" program encourages indviduals or groups to adopt a small section of the Qriver and keep it free from litter/contaminants. Lecture series held and booklet produced. Canoeable trail also in process.
To involve inner city youth in learning about and protecting the marine environment.
Programs for inner city youth in middle and high school held that allowed them to learn water safety, participate in basic science research, and to be exposed to future career opportunities.
