Added dye to water from local Wastewater Pollution control facilities and studied how water and sewage moved into shellfish growing areas. Readings found to be consistent with typical sea water studies (higher flow after rain storm), though one area had higher flow than other two, and one shellfish breeding area was raised from "restricted" to "conditionally approved."

Assess levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in various parts of blackfish in New Haven Harbor to determine source of contamination (sewage, industrial, etc) and whether contaminants move up the food chain. Determined levels of pollution were higher in blackfish than in predicted by sediment and that pollutants did move up food chain.
