to support the improvement of public access to the Quinnipiac River by clearing, cleaning up, and maintaining the Blue Trail along the river's west bank in the Quinnipiac River State Park.

to support educational programming, installing educational signs, organizing volunteer events and beginning research into potential acquisition of land surrounding the Quinnipiac Meadows/Eugene B. Fargeorge Nature Preserve.

to support the Be the Solution to Pollution project which raises awareness of how pollution threatens the health of humans, animals, and the environment along the Quinnipiac River.

To support a continuing study about assessing the extent and characteristics of macroalgal blooms in New Haven Harbor and the impacts such blooms have on benthic communities.

To support the review of Cytec's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) water permit for discharges into the Quinnipiac River and see if there have been any violations of their permit during this year or during the past 5 years.

To raise awareness among legislators, homeowners, and the general public about ways to reduce both non-point and point sources of pollution and to improve habitat for birds and other wildlife within the Quinnipiac River Watershed.

To support the Biodiversity and Impacts of Drift Algae in the New Haven Harbor study, which will continue to assess habitat structure and species diversity in New Haven Harbor, and to investigate the dynamics and potential impacts of extensive drift algal mats that have been found in portions of the harbor.

To support the continuation of investigations into the causes and implications of marsh drowning in the Quinnipiac River.

To support wetland mapping and surveying services which are critical components to acquiring easements from private property owners along the proposed trail route on the eastern banks of the Quinnipiac River in North Haven.

To support the assessment of the condition of macrofaunal communities in New Haven Harbor relative to selected environmental factors and the structure of the Harbor's benthic habitats. A comparison of the results will be made to available previous information to assess any long-term changes.
